This is a chronology of my art career beginning with the first time time I entered a painting in a public exhibition.

1998  Honorable mention ribbon first group show Twentieth Century Club Saint Jo, Texas

2000  One man show, Nocona Public Library, Nocona, Texas (first one man art show ever hosted by this entity in its 30+ year history which paved the way for numerous other area artists to show their work at same location)

2000  Accepted to approved roster of "Artists in Education" by Texas Commission on the Arts

2000 Accepted part-time position teaching art at Saint Jo Elementary School, Saint Jo, Texas

2000  2nd place ribbon, oils - group show North Central Texas College, Gainesville, Texas

2001 Painted "A Texas State of Mind" 48x72 triptych which established the style and direction of my work for the foreseeable future

2001  2nd place ribbon, oils - group show North Central Texas College, Gainesville, Texas

2001  1st place ribbon, colored pencil - Madill Art Club, Madill, Oklahoma

2001  Art in the Park group show, Leonard Park, Gainesville, Texas

2001  Salado Art Fair, Salado, Texas (juried)

2001 Accepted part-time teaching position Nocona Middle School, Nocona, Texas

2001 Grapefest, Grapevine, Texas (juried)

2001  Co-founder of Texas Trails Art Gallery (artist cooperative) Nocona, Texas

2002  Participated in Art for the Parks art competition sponsored by National Park Academy of the Arts - "Heavenly Sunlight" 18x24 oil

2002  Salado Art Fair, Salado, Texas (juried)

2002  Selected as "Trail of Painted Ponies" artist by HorsePower NM's Rod Barker for one of a kind maquette exhibited at various upscale fund raising venues in Texas (one of only a few Texas artists to be selected)

2002 Feature story in Nocona News and Wichita Falls Times Record News on "Painted Ponies"

2003  Accepted part-time teaching position at Little Country School, Nocona, Texas

2004  Established website www.ATexasStateOfMind.com  to aid in promotion of work

2004  Group show guest artist, Artplace Gallery, Denison, Texas

2004  Feature story in Oct. 14 Wichita Falls Times Record News, "Lone Star State of Mind" by free lance writer Jo Gray (now of Kingman AZ)

2004 Featured artist "The Treasure Seeker" North Texas area travel/shopping publication

2004  Painted mural for Montague County Historical Society Old Jail Museum

2005  Presented President George W. Bush signed and numbered print of "Loyalty" through the office of U. S. Rep. Mac Thornberry, Clarendon, Texas

2005 Original work licensed for exclusive use by Texas Highways Magazine, "The Stars at Night . . ." and from "Texas Wild Thangs" series gift boxed note cards purchased for resale in TxDOT Travel and Information Centers, Texas Highways Magazine, and on line at www.texashighways.com  Press release picked up by over 700 media outlets

2005 Texas Highways renewed contract to sell my notecards and licensed my roadrunner image for T shirt reproduction.  Shirt will be titled Texas Wild Thangs
